EPALE Platform intro

In cooperation with the Kastamonu Provincial Directorate of National Education R&D department and Kastamonu Public Education Center, an online information meeting was held on Friday, October 24. During the meeting, the EPALE Platform was introduced, and participants were provided with detailed information on digital content creation in adult education.

The EPALE Platform, implemented by the European Commission, entered its fifth phase as of 2025, accelerating its efforts with a focus on green transition and artificial intelligence. In this new phase, EPALE continues to support practices that emphasize sustainability, digital innovation, and skills development in the field of adult learning.

A total of 40 administrators and teachers from 19 district and 2 central public education centers across Kastamonu participated in the meeting.

During the session, participants were informed about the purpose of the EPALE Platform, its areas of use, the membership process, and the steps for uploading content. Additionally, detailed information was shared about the Erasmus+ KA210 project titled “INCREASING AGRICULTURAL LITERACY SKILLS OF ADULTS WITHIN THE SCOPE OF CIRCULAR ECONOMY – ThinkAgriCircular”, coordinated by Kastamonu Public Education Center.

Within the scope of the project, participants were informed about:

  • The project’s aims, objectives, and target groups,

·         National and international partner institutions,

 

Asociatia Pentru Inovatie In Educatia Adultilor Sfântu Gheorghe / Romania,

Lifelong Education Science Art Culture Association Çorum / Türkiye,

Associazione "Submeet - incontrarsi per crescere" Pescara / Italy,

 

  • Project activities carried out so far, and

  • Planned activities for the upcoming period.

Through this event, the aim was to both promote the EPALE Platform and disseminate information about the Erasmus+ KA210 project, thereby strengthening the digital competencies of educators working in adult education. The meeting concluded after participants’ questions were addressed.
